Students recognized at Our Lady of the Angels

Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy in Lansford were recently named "Students of the Month" for February. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of tolerance. The following are quotes from each student.

Kindergarten, Angelo Cerimele: "I respect my friends and help them."Grade 1, Connor Penberth: "I show respect and work toward telling the truth and bringing peace."Grade 2, Angelo Greek: "I respect my friends and treat everyone the same. I wait and listen to what they say and don't judge them."Grade 3, Ethan Gardiner: "I accept others for who they are even if we don't have the same ideas. I don't let differences get in the way of friendships."Grade 4, Sierra Bauer: "I don't tease or give up easily. When I lose I don't get angry. Instead, I congratulate the winner."Grade 5, Stephen Puza: "I try not to make fun of others, especially physically and mentally challenged people. I am respectful of others even if I don't agree with them. Life is hard sometimes, but a little tolerance makes it a lot easier."Grade 6, Colin Rehnert: "I was tolerant in class when Mr. Dowd was doing something important and toward friends when they were busy."Grade 7, Zachary Trubilla: "I have a high tolerance level. I am pretty fair when someone has a different opinion than me."Grade 8, Brayden Webb: "I am able to put up with aggravating situations in a peaceful manner."
