Lansford intruder caught; was scared off by grandfather with gun

A man who was wanted after unlawfully entering a Lansford home last month has been captured and is in Carbon County jail tonight.

Brian Kehl was arrested this morning in Kline Township, police said.

Kehl and Joseph Becker, 31, of Coaldale invaded a home on West Water Street on Feb. 27 looking for a man namned Cody. A teenage boy was home at the time and his armed grandfather David Knittle came to his defense.

Becker was arrested earlier and charged with robbery, criminal trespass and theft.

Kehl has been charged with robbery, criminal trespass and unlawful restraint of a minor. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
