The Tamaqua Community Art Center will celebrate International Women's Day with a full slate of activities on March 8. Events will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. at the center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.

A silent art auction, featuring more than 20 pieces donated by local artists, will be held from 4 to 9 p.m.From 7 to 8:30 p.m., activities will include a program featuring KJ Reimensnyder-Wagner, a professional singer/songwriter and motivational speaker.These events are free and open to the public.Also at the art center, an evening of Irish song and dance will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on March 7. Fatured artists will be "Te Troubles" and the McCormick School of Dance. Proceeds from the $6 admission fee will benefit the Schuylkill County Diabetes Foundation.
