Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) issued a reminder on his upcoming Sportsmen's Expo, scheduled for Saturday, March 15, at the Mahoning Valley Volunteer Fire Social Hall, 2358 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton.

The expo is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature more than 30 vendors ranging from state agencies to local clubs and retailers.A variety of outdoor sport activities will be featured at this expo.This year's expo will feature a duck call contest along with calling instructions and door prizes from various vendors.The expo will be preceded by a hunter/trapper education course which will start at 9 a.m.The hunter education course is available to first-time hunters and children ages 11 and up.Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.Topics covered during the course include responsible hunting behavior, firearm safety, wildlife and conservation management and hunting techniques, to name a few.To register for the course, go to the Pennsylvania Game Commission website,
