An icy Intestate 81 in Schuylkill County on Wednesday caused a tractor trailer rig to crash.

State police at Frackville said Charanjit Singh, 59, no address listed, was operating a 2007 Freightliner tractor with trailer southbound about 6:23 a.m. near the off ramp at McAdoo, in Kline Township, when he lost control due to the icy conditions.The truck went onto the right berm and struck an embankment. It continued along the embankment for about 75 feet before coming to rest. The rig sustained heavy damages, troopers said.Singh was injured and taken by McAdoo ambulance to the Hazleton General Hospital.
