Schools are beginning to dismiss early or close in preparation for the upcoming snowstorm, expected to hit the area later today. Here is the list of closures and dismissals as of 7:20 a.m.

* Jim Thorpe will dismiss beginning at 11 a.m. for the high school and 11:30 for Penn-Kidder and L.B. Morris.* Lehighton, 11:20 for the middle school; 11:30 for the high school and 12:15 for the elementary* Northwestern Lehigh is closed today * St. John Neumann in Palmerton is closed* Carbon Head Start, dismissing at 11 a.m.* Northern Lehigh is closed
