Updated forecast: Wind chills below zero Thursday

Here’s the latest forecast. Rain, snow, messy weather will be coming Wednesday.

Rain should end as a period of accumulating snow Wednesday evening as temperatures plunge into the teens with potential for widespread hazardous conditions.


Northwest winds may briefly gust to 45 mph. Wind chill Thursday morning should be within the range Of 10 to 15 below zero for several hours.


Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 53. West wind 8 to 11 mph. 

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 36. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. 

Wednesday: Showers. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 48. East wind around 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Wednesday Night: Rain showers, snow showers, and sleet before 3am, then a slight chance of snow showers between 3am and 5am, then a chance of flurries after 5am. Low around 14. Windy, with a northwest wind 11 to 16 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible. 

Thursday: A chance of flurries before 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 25. Windy. 

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 10.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 41.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.
