Adam Richard Haydt, D.O., of Palmerton was awarded the doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at the college's 122nd commencement on Sunday, June 2.

Haydt is the son of Donna and Gary Haydt of Palmerton. He is the grandson of Althea and the late Warren Haydt and Barbara and Harlan Schaffer.He earned a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2009. He graduated from Palmerton Area High School in 2005.Dr. Haydt is continuing his medical training in family medicine at St. Luke's University Health Network, Bethlehem. Dr. Haydt plans to stay in the Lehigh Valley after completing his residency at St. Luke's.
