Petitions to revoke probations or paroles of several defendants previously sentenced by Carbon County judges were filed by the adult probation office.

The following defendants had petitions filed against them and resulted in their probation/paroles being revoked.Evrin Kalkan, 28, of Lehighton, had a petition filed by probation officer Jillian C. McGinley for violation of his probation/parole, on a charge of unauthorized use.Conditions violated included testing positive illegal substances, failing to submit to weekly urine scenes, and violating zero tolerance provision.He waived his hearing rights and was revoked by Judge Joseph J. Matika. He was resentenced to serve out the balance of his maximum which runs to Aug. 9.Lisa Serafine, 52, of Tamaqua, had a petition filed by probation officer Mathew J. Kimmel for violating her probation on charges of false identification to law enforcement, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Conditions violated included failing to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and falling behind in her court costs payments.She waived a hearing and was resentenced by Matika to serve three to six months in the county prison effective Nov. 1 at 9 a.m.James Hunsinger, 35, of Freeland, had a petition filed to revoke his probation/parole filed by probation officer Joseph Berke on charges of theft by unlawful taking.He violated his conditions by relocating from his approved address without prior permission or consent of his parole officer, he was cited by state police at Hazleton on driving under the influence (DUI) charge on Feb. 23, arrested by Freeland police for DUI on March 3, cited for driving without a license on Feb. 23 and March 3, did not make a concerted effort to pay his court costs, and failed to complete is drug and alcohol treatment.He waived his hearings and was resentenced by Judge Steven R. Serfass to serve three to six months in the county prison. The sentence began on May 2.Nicole Navoie, 37, of Hellam, York County, had a petition filed against her by Berke for violating conditions. She was previously sentenced on possession of drugs count.Matika resentenced her to serve two to 12 months in prison which became effective on April 17.Fuller Ashton, 37, of Saylorsburg, had a petition filed against him by Berke for violation his probation on criminal trespass charge. The conditions violated included testing positive for cocaine, is delinquent on his court costs, and violated zero tolerance condition.He waived his hearing and was resentenced by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic to serve 136 days to 272 days in prison, a time served sentence. He was paroled on May 26.Alicia Hibbler, 34, of Shenandoah, had a petition filed by Berke against her for violating her probation on a forgery charge. The conditions violated included testing positive for controlled substances twice.She waived her hearing and was resentenced by Serfass to serve 30 days to one year in prison effective May 18.Brandice Boner, 32, of Lansford, had a petition filed against her by probation officer Clifford Eckhart, for violating her probation on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Conditions violated including testing positive for controlled substance and failing to engage in drug and alcohol treatment.She waived her hearing and was resentenced by Serfass to serve two to six months in prison.Mark Hettler, 37, of Summit Hill, had a petition filed against him by Eckhart for violating his parole on a driving under the influence (DUI). Conditions violated included failure to report to the probation office to enroll in pretrial services, charged with a new DUI offense, failed to attend and complete alcohol safe driving program, failed to attend drug and alcohol treatment, and consumed alcohol.Serfass recommitted Hettler to a state prison to serve out his maximum, which runs to Aug. 4, 2014.Danielle Jaso, 29, of Lansford, had a petition filed against her by Eckhart for violating her probation on a charge of retail theft. Condition violated she has been charged with new criminal offenses.She waived her hearing was was resentenced by Serfass to serve 100 days to 23 months in prison with credit for 98 days already served.Zachary Lienhard, 23, of Nesquehoning, had a petition filed against him by Eckhart for violation of his probation on a possession with intent to deliver charge. Conditions violated included testing positive for a controlled substance, and violating zero tolerance provision.He waived his hearing and was resentenced by Nanovic to serve 45 days to eight months in prison with credit for 27 days already served.Josh Gutosky, 29, of Weatherly, had a petition filed by probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating his probation/parole on a charge of possession with intent to deliver. Conditions violated included testing positive for a controlled substance, and violating zero tolerance.He waived his hearing and was resentenced by Matika to serve 30 days in jail which was effective on April 12.Travis Schoenberger, 25, of Weatherly, had a petition filed by Bettine for violating probation/parole on a charge of resisting arrest. Conditions violated include not residing at his approved residence, cited by Bethlehem police on Feb. 24 for public drunkenness, admitted using heroin, and had a protection from abuse (PFA) ordered filed against him.He waived his hearing and was resentenced by Matika to serve the balance of his maximum which runs to Nov. 19.Joseph Ruzicka, 46, of Lehighton, had a petition filed against him by McGinley for violating probation/parole/intermediate punishment on charges of DUI, and endangering the welfare of children.He waived his hearing and was resentenced by Matika to serve 30 days in prison beginning April 10.
