A longtime beer distributor in Palmerton is under new ownership.

The Palmerton Beer Depot, formerly Palm Beverage, Inc., located at 619 Delaware Avenue, has been taken over by Kathy Hendricks.Hendricks, of Easton, said she took over the business in February. Before that, it has been Palm Beverage, Inc for the past 13 years."I heard it was for sale," Hendricks said. "It's a new adventure."Hendricks said the business still sells a wide assortment of beers, in addition to soda, snacks, RYO tobacco and tubes, lottery, ice, ATM, and propane gas.She urged costumers to watch for its upcoming Fourth of July sale.Palmerton Beer Depot is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 9-9 Thursday through Saturday, and 11-4 Sunday.For more information, call (610) 826-2337.
