Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Co., Box 3622, Bala Cynwyd, has filed a civil complaint against Yvonne Anthony, 1670 Lower Smith Gap Rd., Kunkletown, seeking repayment of monies the insurance company paid on a claim from an area church.The suit states the plaintiff was the insurance firm for Salem United Methodist Church. The suit further states during a period of many years Anthony allegedly "unlawfuly, fraudulently, and with authority" used monies of the church for her own personal use and gain by writing checks to "cash" paying herself the cash, and "intentionally recording the checks" in the church ledger so to appear as authorized and legitimate expenses.The insurance company paid the church $38,825.59 representing the amount allegedly taken by Anthony.The insurance firm is now seeking that amount from Anthony plus interest, costs, and fees.Reportedly, criminal charges stemming from the allege theft has been filed by state police at Lehighton against Anthony and are pending in the county court.MortgageforeclosuresThe following actions have been filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.PNC Bank National Associaton, c/o 3232 Newmark Drive, Miamisburg, Ohio, filed against Marcus C.
