Katharine Ray, daughter of Robert and Miriam Ray, White Haven, has been named Senior of the Month for April at Weatherly Area High School.

Katie is the Weatherly Area School Board's student representative. She is the president of the Interact Club, a member of the drama club and student forum, and a member of Weatherly Area's chapter of the National Honor Society. Earlier this year, Katie was selected as WVIA's Artist of the Week in honor of her theatrical talent.In the community, Katie volunteers her time in a number of ways. She participates in the Tweedle Park cleanup, the Weatherly Hillclimb, the Senior Games, the food drive for Shepherd House, and UNICEF trick-or-treating, as well as assisting in artistic projects that benefit the White Haven Center and Heritage Hill. Katie has been employed at McDonald's in White Haven for three years, and is currently completing training to become a swing manager.
