Funds have been set up for the victims of a fire that extensively damaged a twin home at Fourth and Ochre Streets in Lehighton on Tuesday evening.

Trinity Lutheran Church Council secretary Sharen Ace was chased out of her Ochre Street home by the fire. Her home is declared a total loss plus her car sustained damage.The congregation has set up an account at PNC Bank for those who wish to assist Sharen, who managed to escape with just what she was wearing.Donations can be taken to the Lehighton PNC branches at either 154 S. First St. or 1279 Blakeslee BLVD. Any check that is received at the church office on Sharen's behalf will be deposited to the PNC account.The name of the account is " Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church - Sharen Ace Fire Fund". Sharen is staying temporarily with a relative.Also left homeless was Derrick Flexer and his family his wife, Bobbie Jo, and their daughter Peyton.The Flexer family had no insurance and lost virtually all their possessions in the fire.They belong to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mahoning Township which has begun a fund drive.Donations can be mailed to the Flexer Fire Fund in care of Wendy Gill-Guzenski at the church, or dropped off at any branch of Wells Fargo Bank. If dropped off at the bank, mention Wendy Guzenski and that it is in care of the Flexer Fire Fund, account ending in 6725.Also at the church, a drop-off will occur today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for clothing, household items, etc.
