Nesquehoning arrests reported

Nesquehoning police reported on the following arrests.

On March 22 about 7:14 p.m. officers responded to the Fuel Up service station at 701 E. Catawissa St., for a retail theft incident.On scene police said Bobby Jo Hittinger, 19, of N. Pine St., Summit Hill, was in custody for taking various items from the store. During a routine search, police found on him hypodermic needle, homemade smoking pipes with resin, a clear plastic baggie containing 31 empty heroin baggies, a small baggie containing cotton balls, and five bags of suspected heroin.He has been charged with retail theft, unlawful possession of a controlled substance-heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property.On March 28 at about 1:23 p.m. police said Jennifer Marchorro, 3 W. Columbus Ave., Nesquehoning, was arrested for retail theft at Redners Warehouse Market. She allegedly stole two packs of ring bologna.Also on March 28, Turkey Hill Market reported the theft of gasoline fro $50.07 and again for $50. The suspect was identified through surveillance video as Justine Sarau, 45 Blackberry Lane, Jim Thorpe, police said. Police added that charges are pending.On March 30 police were called for a dog bite incident. A male juvenile, age 14, was scratched and bit while delivering papers. Ducilio Perez, 239 E. Catawissa St., was identified as the owner of the dog and was cited for not having the dog licensed or vaccinated for rabies.Also on March 30 police arrested Tara Hertzog, 410 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, for bench warrants issued in Carbon County for probation violations and domestic relations.
