Jim Thorpe police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

Police said Roseann J. Crissy, 54, of 901 Princeton Ave., Palmerton, has been charged with two counts each of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, one a misdemeanor one and the other a misdemeanor three, and receiving stolen property, misdemeanor one and three, and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from a May 30, 2012, incident.Police said they received a complaint from Dawn Miller, 90 North Ave., on that date concerning the theft of prescription medicine. Miller said she had employed Crissy to clean her residence.Miller stated that she discovered on May 9 that Crissy had removed her medication from her home and had it refilled without her permission. Miller also said she found a gold necklace missing.Police interviewed Crissy and she admitted to the thefts.Jonathan M. Lorresti, 26, formerly of Jim Thorpe, and no current address, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen proeprty, both felony twos, and theft and receiving, as misdemeanor twos.On Jan. 2 about 9:45 p.m. police were dispatched to 26 E. Fourth St., for a report of theft. On scene homeowner Joseph Bunso Jr., said his Winchester 12 gauage shotgun and his girlfriend, Jody Lopresti, reported her Kindle Fire was missing. Bunso said his girlfriend's son, Jonathan Lopresti, took the items.Through the investigation police learned that Lopresti sold the Kindle Fire to Scott Houser, of 217 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, for $75. Houser also told police Lopresti tired to sell him the missing shotgun.Jason Geesey, 31, of 16 Second St., Slatington, has been charged with theft by deception, a misdemeanor three, and bad check, a summary offense.Police said on Feb. 1 they received a complaint from the manager of the Mauch Chunk Pharmacy, 1204 North St., regarding a bad check received. Geesey issued a check for $16.63 that was returned because it was on a closed account.Geesey was contacted on Feb. 1 and he said he had written it on the wrong account and would make payment on Feb. 4. Payment was never made and the charges were filed, police said.
