Golden AgersThe March 11 meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers opened with a prayer to St. Patrick. Sue Dopira led the group singing Irish Ballads. The group extended a welcome back to Janet Keich after a long absence and welcomed new members Mike Vigoda and Mary Bidel.Plans are being made for the annual picnic to be held at the No. 9 Mine. A Chinese auction will be included.The next meeting will be Monday, March 25 at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall beginning at 1 p.m. Meetings are held every second and fourth Monday of the month. Anyone 55 and older is invited to join.LansfordEaster egg huntThe Lansford American Legion Post 123 will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at the Lansford Swimming Pool grounds. Rain date is Sunday, March 24.All children up to age 10 from the community of Lansford are invited to attend.The Easter Bunny will arrive by fire truck courtesy of Lansford American Fire Company No. 1 at 1 p.m. Separate hunting sections will be set up for toddlers with parents and age groups 3-6 and 7-10. Children are asked to bring a basket for collecting eggs.Refreshments will be available from the Lansford American Legion Post 123.Summit HillSummit Hill Historical SocietyThe Summit Hill Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at the museum located at 134 W. Ludlow St.Food pantryThe Summit Hill Food Pantry will be open on Tuesday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to noon. The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets. There is to be no parking in the alley prior to 9:45 a.m. and absolutely no parking in the private lot behind the pantry.Recipients are reminded to bring along shopping bags.NesquehoningZion Lutheran scheduleZion Lutheran Church, 2 E.
