OLOAA names January Students of the Month

Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently named Students of the Month for January for the 2012-2013 school year. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of self-control. The following are quotes from each student.

Kindergarten, Xander Nunemacher: "I have been trying hard to stay in my seat and raise my hand."Grade 1, Madison Miller: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I listened to Mrs. Boyle the first time she gave us directions."Grade 2, Joshua Shelton: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I don't brag if I am done my work before another classmate and I keep my hands to myself."Grade 3, Rilan Gombert: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I try my best to not speak while my teacher is speaking. I also try everyday to be on my best behavior."Grade 4, Ava Kosciolek: "I congratulated classmates when they were successful. I am patient and I don't give up easily. I learn from my mistakes and move on."Grade 5, Allison Slakoper: "I try to be positive and not complain. If I win, I don't brag, and if I lose, I don't get angry."Grade 6, Olivia Weaver: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I work hard and I always show self-control in class."Grade 7, Michael McLaughlin: "I am patient with my classmates even when it is difficult."Grade 8, Amarynth Ruch: "I have patience with my fellow students."
