Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an accident in which a teen was struck by a sports utility vehicle (SUV). The accident occurred about 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the area of 155 Prospect St., in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.

Police said a SUV was operated by Janet Foster, 57, of East Stroudsburg, eastbound when a 15-year-old female ran out onto the road and struck the side of the vehicle.The juvenile was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police sid.The investigation into the incident is continuing.
