Ten defendants were brougt to Schuylkill County court on bench warrants which were issued after they failed to keep scheduled appointments in district judge offices and the county court.

Judge John E. Domalakes held hearings on the following:Brian Lee Dietrick, 42, Ashland, had his bench warrant dissolved and his bail revoked and forfeited and he was remanded to the county prison to await further proceedings. He faces a charge of retail theft from Kmart Store, Schuylkill Mall, as brought by Trooper Scott M. Grochowski.Christopher Allen Reedy, 25, Schuylkill Haven, had his bench warrant dissolved and bail set at $2,000 percentage cash with stipulations that he must reside at 316A N. 12th Street, Pottsville, and cannot relocate without prior permission from court; must not possess nor consume alcohol or illegal substances, must remain employed and attend all future court proceedings. He faces charges filed by Trooper Thomas J. Robin of three counts of criminal attempt to commit forgery, theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, theft and criminal conspiracy.Jamie Paul Robbins, 37, Pottsville, had his bench warrant dissolved but his bail continued with a stipulation he must reside at 70 Coal St., Apt. 2, Port Cabon, and must attend future court proceedings. Robbins faces charges brought by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph R. Welsh, consisting of endangering welfare of a child, and simple assault.Amanda L. Riegel, 29, Mount Carmel, had her bench warrant dissolved and bail set at $5,000 percentage cash with stipulations he must reside at 524 W. Girard St., Mount Carmel, and cannot relocate without prior permission from court, must not possesss nor consume alcohol or illegal substances, stay out of establishments that serve primarily alcohol, and must attend all future court proceedings. Riegel faces charges brought by Patrolman Ronald E. Romanchek consisting of passing bad checks.Jennifer Gates, 36, Shenandoah, had her bench warrant dissolved and current bail continued with the stipulation she must reside at 302 W. New York St., Shenandoah, and attend all future court proceedings. Gates faces charges brought by Shenandoah Patrolman Michael O'Neill, of criminal trespass, two counts of simple assault, possession of drug paraphenalia, two counts of harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.John Francis McGettigan, 61, Avondale, had his bench warrant dissolved and bail set at $10,000 unsecured with special conditions, he must reside at 638 Hillendale Road, Avandale, and cannot relocate without prior permission from court and must apply for a public defender upon his release from prison. He faces charges lodged by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey R. Bowers, of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.Judge Cyrus Palmer ruled on the following:Joshua Robert Huegel, 30, of 133 Ash Circle, Andreas, West Penn Township, had his bench warrant dissolved and bail set at $5,000 unsecured and he must reside at the Andreas address and shall not relocate without prior court approval. Huegel faces charges of DUI of alcohol which were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon. A bench warrant was issued last Apirl 26 to bring him to court when he failed to appear at a magisterial district judge's office for a preliminary hearing.Cinthia Marie Shaffer, 27, Pottsvill;e, had her bench warrant dissolved and current bail continued with added stipulations, she must reside at 119 North St., Apt. 3A, Port Carbon, and cannot relocate without permission from the corurt and must attend future court proceedings. Shaffer faces charges of DUI of drugs and possession of a controlled substance filed by Trooper Eric L. Reber.Tedd Richard Fredericks, 40, Frackville, had his bench warrant dissolved and his bail revoked and was remanded to the county prison to await further proceedings. A bench warrant was issued last July 12 when he failed to report to his probation officer and fled the area. He was declared to be an absonder. He plead guilty to theft from a motor vehicle and after serving 20 days in prison was released on probation.Edward Charles Gunn, 50, Quakertown, had his bench warrant dissolved and current bail reinstated. He faces charges of theft from Walmart Store in Saint Clair filed by Patrolman Joseph J. Leskin.
