Storm makes for hazardous driving

Motorists throughout Schuylkill and Carbon counties were plagued by hazardous driving conditions Tuesday when a snow storm left more accumulation than anticipated along area roadways. In Schuylkill County, SR309 between Tamaqua and the village of Hometown, Rush Township, was entirely closed to traffic when the Hometown Hill became impassible. Numerous accidents were reported, such as this one along SR54 in the village of Hauto. This motorist apparently lost control on a snow-covered roadway, rolling his vehicle on its side near the intersection with Yard Road. No serious injuries were reported.
