The Panther Valley Irish-American Association elected officers for 2013 at a recent meeting held at Kelly's Irish Pub and Restaurant, Lansford. They are, from left, John Dowling, Lansford, second vice president; John Tracy, Tamaqua, secretary; Tim Kurchak, Lansford, president; and Ben Walker, Nesquehoning, first vice president. Other officers are Bob Ames, Coaldale, treasurer, and Tim Sweeney, Coaldale, sergeant-at-arms. The association will hold its 66th Annual St. Patrick's Day Banquet on Sunday, March 17, at Kelly's.
