February 20, 1959 Tamaqua sets numerous school records and also claims the Black Diamond League championship in a 116-70 victory over Coaldale. The points scored are the most in a game by a Raider team while leading scorer Billy Yelsh establishes a single-game high of 41. Bill Storch contributes 25 points to the big win while Tony Fredicine adds 13. Tamaqua, which wins its 11th straight game, also receives 11 points from George Willing and 10 from Paul Keich.
