Bowmanstown School held its 14th reunion on Saturday at Mahoning Valley Ambulance building with 78 classmates and friends attending the biannual event.

Honored were Martha Ronemus, who had been a teacher at the Bowmanstown School for fifth and sixth grade classes from 1944 to 1949 and Norbert and Anna Sander, who were celebrating their 70th year of marriage.Mrs. Sander is the former Ana Strang. She said she met her husband on the Parryville Dam, shortly after she had shoveled off the ice so the Bowmanstown boys could ice skate.The couple dated for three years and then married when she was 19 and he was 24 years old.They have a son, Doug of Bethlehem and a son, Dennis, who passed away.Bowmanstown School reunion is held every other year. The next reunion will be held in 2015.Planning committee members include Marlene Shupp, Lois Markley, Judy Serfass, Shirley Sickels, Sharon Marshall, Joan Hunsicker and Lenard Eckhart.
