Weatherly Area School Board members are discussing how to fill an anticipated vacancy

With incument Amy Potsko garnering enough votes to win both a new four-year term and the available two-year term in the recent election, one of those seats will be vacant when she is sworn in next year. While it is likely that Potsko will opt for the four-year term and although the resignation will not be official until the Dec. 4 school board meeting, school district residents interested in serving on the board by appointment are asked to submit a letter of interest to the Superintendent's office by Wednesday, Nov. 27.The board will have 30 days from the date of the vacancy to fill the post. Letters may be sent to Thomas McLaughlin, Superintendent, 602 Sixth St., Weatherly, PA 18255.
