Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold the first Sunday in Lent worship at 9 a.m. with Holy Communion.

Sunday School Power Hour begins at 10:15 a.m. for ages 3 through adult.

For students in fifth grade, or students in fifth grade or higher who have not received First Holy Communion instruction: instructional classes are being scheduled.

Midweek Wednesday worship opportunities are available Feb. 20 through March 20. Noon worship is followed by a soup lunch. Each Wednesday evening there will be a soup supper at 6 p.m., then "Holden Evening Prayer" worship at 7 p.m. Immediately following the 7 p.m. worship is a Lenten study based on the movie "Chocolat," reflecting on issues of grace, forgiveness and transformation.
Looking ahead to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9, "Coffeehouse of Hope," an evening with the Trinity Praise Band featuring vocalists Brain Hoffner and Becky McFadden. All financial gifts will be given to "Dylan & Gavin's Rainbow" ministry.
The Krum family of Lehighton have established this ministry to offer support to families when a child faces a serious illness or condition, and also offers support in the event of the death of a child.
