The Panther Valley Industrial Commission, organized in January 1946 under the name Panther Valley Postwar Planning Commission, voted to disband. The commission, which has been inactive for more than a year, said lack of interest prompted the move. Industries secured by the commission include Bundy Tubing Co. at Hometown and the Robert M. Green and Sons Inc., Nesquehoning, which was later taken over by the Lehigh Aluminum Company. Officers of the board are James Gildea, Coaldale, president; Wash Snoich, Nesquehoning, executive secretary; Ezra Koch, treasurer, and John Miske, Tamaqua, and John Cadden, Nesquehoning, members.
