PV JROTC boosters

The Panther Valley JROTC boosters will meet on Monday, Nov. 19 beginning at 6 p.m. in the JROTC room. All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.Summit HillFood PantryThe Summit Hill Food Pantry will be open on Monday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. The month's food distribution is being held a week early due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets. There is to be no parking in the alley prior to 9:45 a.m. and no parking in the lot. Recipients are reminded to bring along shopping bags and to bring extra heavy tote bags. No bags will be supplied.NesquehoningMeed's Thanksgiving DinnerMeed's Memorial United Methodist Church Nesquehoning, will be sponsoring its annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner, on Sunday Nov. 18. Servings will be at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Please call (570) 669-6769 or 669-6764 to make a reservation. If there is no answer, please leave a message with your name, number of people, and what time you will be coming.All are welcome to join in the fellowship, food, and blessings that have been given.Children's Christmas PartyThe Nesquehoning Recreation Committee reminds all residents that the deadline for sign-ups for the Children's Christmas Party will be Dec. 5. Registration can be done on a Wednesday evening during Bingo. The party will be held Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.St. Paul's LutheranBible study will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Summit Hill on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.Confirmation class will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20 beginning at 7:30 p.m.St. Paul's will have Bible study on Sunday, Nov. 25 starting at 7 p.m. and Confirmation class on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m.The last Bible study of the month will be on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. and will be held at Zion, in Nesquehoning.Sunday worship services at St. Paul's begin at 10:30 a.m. and are led by Vicar Ben Siebert. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and all are welcome.
