Hurricane forces Uriah Heep to cancel Penn's Peak concert

A concert scheduled for tonight at Penn's Peak by the British band Uriah Heep has been cancelled.

A statement on the band's Web site said the concert is off because the band hasn't been able to fly into JFK airport.The statement reads that the band was willing to fly into Raleigh instead of JFK, but the airline wasn't able to accommodate the entire band.The Penn's Peak stop was the first on Uriah Heep's U.S. tour.The band also says on its Web site:"Additionally, many East Coast roads remained closed, trailers have been banned in some areas, and the band's agents could not get the necessary unequivocal assurance that all venues would be open.Officials at Penn's Peak said refunds are available at the point of purchase.The next concert event at Penn's Peak is Friday night when Umphrey's McGree performs.
