Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton will hold First Saturday worship at 5 p.m. Nov. 3.Services will be led by the Rev. Michael Frost, who serves as dean of the Hazleton/Lehighton mission district, and pastor at Zions Stone Church, New Ringgold.Worship will be led by substitute clergy during the pastoral vacancy.All Saints Sunday worship with Holy Communion and recognition of the departed saints of Trinity Lutheran Church will be led by Rev. John F. Hazel, Jr., at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4.A nursery is available for children through age 6 during the weekly 9 a.m. worship service.The nursery will be staffed with an experienced caregiver who is trained in CPR and first aid and a youth volunteer.Sunday School "Power Hour" begins at 10:15 a.m. for ages 3 through adults.First Tuesday quiet worship with Holy Communion is 10 a.m. Nov. 6.Women of the ELCA will observe the 25th anniversary of the organization during their meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov 8.Any woman is invited to attend to share mementos and memories while they were known by previous titles: Lutheran Church Women (LCW), Mission Society, Fred J. McCready Mission Society.Upcoming events at Trinity includes a Community pre-Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20.Worship will be led by the Rev. Chris deForest, pastor of St John's, Mahoning Township, and the Rev. Anthony Pagatto, pastor at Dinkey Memorial, Ashfield. The public is invited.Advent CantataThe Advent Cantata "The Voices of Christmas" by Joseph Martin will be performed at Trinity Lutheran by combined choirs and a full orchestra, including a harpist at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov 25.Call committee membersThe following members of Trinity have been selected to serve on the "call" committee: Frank Andreas, Karol Krause, Eileen McFarland, Kelly Olenick Keiser (chair), Andrew Sutphin and Jonathan Rupell.These men and women have agreed to represent the congregation during this process of discerning a candidate who will become Trinity's next spiritual leader.Members of Trinity are strongly encouraged to attend the 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 annual congregational meeting for updates and input.
