Carbon County businesses cited

Three Carbon County businesses have been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control broad.

Rivercreek, LLC, 219-221 N. First St., Lehighton, was cited on Sept. 5 because the business sold alcoholic beverages after the restaurant liquor license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.Palm Beverages Inc., 619 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited on Sept. 5 because it sold alcoholic beverages after the malt beverage distributor license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.KJH Enterprises Inc, trading as the Fireline Hotel, 1065 Fireline Rd., Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, was cited on Sept. 5 for selling alcoholic beverages after the restaurant license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
