Tuscarora State Park will begin a eight to 10-foot drawdown of the lake beginning today and continuing through Oct. 31.

Specific timing will be dictated by the weather. Park officials said they will take advantage of the drawdown to replenish beach sand and make repairs to the beach markers.The drawdown will affect the launching of boats as the water level drops at the boat cove. If the weather cooperates, the drawdown will be stopped within seven to 10 days and lake conditions should be back to normal within a few weeks.
