DUI arrests reported

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers.

On July 22 about 1:17 a.m. Jason Hettler, 35, of Palmerton, was stopped along SR248 near the Bowmanstown ramp, in Bowmanstown, for a traffic violation-driving on roadways laned for traffic. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest for DUI. He will be charged, troopers said.On Aug. 1 about 8:46 p.m. troopers stopped Ronald David Getz, 41, of Lehighton, along SR209 at Maiden Lane, in Lehighton, for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence and arrested for DUI.On Aug. 2 about 2:31 a.m. troopers stopped Louis J. Abbattello, 27, of Effort, along Long Mountain Road, just north of SR209, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.On Aug. 4 about 2:25 a.m. troopers stopped Jess G. Harrell, 23, of Saylorsburg, along Greenhill Road at Valley Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and taken into custody. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
