Tamaqua man arraigned on charges for series of robberies

A Tamaqua man charged with a series of armed robberies which took place in a Tri-county area, Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne, was among 60 defendants who were arraigned Monday morning on criminal charges before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon at the Schuylkill County courthouse and all entered pleas of not guilty to the charges and requested trial by jury.

Tysheed Laron Hargrove, 19, last known address, Tamaqua, was charged by police from Rush Township, Tamaqua and McAdoo with 56 criminal charges committed in Schuylkill County - 18 counts of robbery, six counts of carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of terroristic threats, five counts of possession of an instrument of crime, seven counts of receiving stolen property, six counts of simple assault, five counts of recklessly endangering another person, one count of retail theft and two counts of unlawful risk.According to the police report the robberies occurred at the Turkey Hill Mini-Mart, Hometown; Fegley's Mini Mart in Tamaqua and McAdoo; Valero, McAdoo, and the Uni Mart in Frackville.Others were reported to have occurred at the Wawa, Kidder Township, Carbon County; Uni-Mart in Freeland, and at mini markets located within Hazleton.Other area peopleMarah Ann Walter, 21, of 2 Fourth St., Kelayres, Kline Township, charged by Rush Township Patrolman Carl Bachart, with criminal conspiracy and theft of a credit card and cash from a wristlet (small purse) belonging to Kristen Kester at the Walmart Store in Hometown.Andrew Joseph Danko, 23, of 2 Fourth St., Kelayres, Kline Township, charged by Patrolman Bachart with criminal conspiracy with Walter to steal cash and credit card theft from shopper in Walmart Store.Blair Terry Kranch, 46, of 187 Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig, last Jan. 5 with terroristic threats and harassment of Robert Deutsch, 114 Schuylkill Avenue, and disorderly conduct by engaging in fighting.Ryan Christopher Bush, 27, inmate at state correctional facility in Ryan Township, charged by Trooper Edward Lizewski on multiple occurrences of criminal conspiracy and criminal solicitation by telephone with girlfriend to bring contraband drugs on visits to the prison.Edward Francis Ostrowski, 35, of 72 Lakeside Avenue, Delano, Delano Township, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig, with driving under the influence (DUI) last March 10, driving while operating privileges were suspended, and restrictions on alcohol beverages in car (possessed an open can of beer).Andrea J.
