Thorpe resident facing charges

A Jim Thorpe resident is facing charges following two separate incidents.

Borough police said on Thursday, Jan. 19, about 8:15 p.m. they were told to contact Joshua Greising in regard to a harassment. Greising told police he and his wife were at 104 North Ave. when he was confronted by Justin T. Robinson, 20, of that address. Greising said the confrontation was verbal in nature but he was concerned that Robinson, who was not at the scene, may return. Greising was told to call 9-1-1 if Robinson returned.At 9 p.m. police were told by the communications center that it received several 9-1-1 hang up calls from Greising's telephone. Police made contact with Greising who said Robinson returned to the home with four other individuals and attacked him.Greising claimed he was struck in the head and face several times by Robinson but he did not fight back because he did not want to go to jail. Police did observe swelling and red marks on the back of Gresing's head and blood on his lips.Police later spoke with Robinson, who admitted striking Greising several times but claimed Greising swung at him first. Robinson was charged with harassment, police said.On Sunday, Jan. 22, about 5:30 p.m. police received a walk-in complaint at the station from the mother of a 15-year-old boy. She stated she was in the parking area of Christina's Pizza shop at W. Second Street to pickup her son when Robinson exited a van and approached her son in an aggressive manner and yelled at him.When she got out of her vehicle Robinson got back into the van and left.Robinson was contacted by police and admitted to confronting the boy and said it was over a girl. Robinson was again cited for harassment.
