Boys will be boys, whether in harmless pastime, daring, or courage. This was exemplified by Lawrence Farrell, nine-year-old son of Frank Farrell, East Mauch Chunk. He climbed a tree despite the threats of his comrade to cut the tree down. The tree was chopped down and Lawrence came down with it. He won, but at the penalty of a pierce in the cheek by a limb penetrating it. He is making good recovery.
