Panther Valley High School announced two winners in an oratorical contest held at the school. The outstanding orators are Patricia Matta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael P. Matta of Lansford, a sophomore whose oration was entitled "Untimely Death," and Joseph Brand, a senior, whose oration was "What Has Happened to Our American Values." Brand is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Brand of Summit Hill. Runners-up were Bonnie Angst and John Rajnic.
