Local winning bakers to compete at PA Farm Show

The Pennsylvania Farm Show will take place Jan. 7-14 in Harrisburg. The event is the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country, with nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 290 commercial exhibits.

The farm show is the culmination of hard work and dedication of many, but most importantly, the exhibitors.More than 100 fairs across the state have offered cash prizes as part of the Hershey's Cocoa Classic contest, PA INCREDIBLE Angel Food Cake contest, and the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie contest.The Carbon County Fair is a preliminary competition that leads to the PA Farm Show. Winners from the recent baking contests held at the fair in August are eligible to participate at the PA Farm Show.
