Five young local musicians' talent earned them an invitation to attend the National Association of Music Merchants show in Anaheim, California, Jan. 19-22.

The invitation was made possible by Magdom Music professionals.The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is a trade association that unifies, leads and strengthens the international musical instruments and products industry.A.D.D. band members Tyler Ritter, 14: Nick McGeehan, 13; and his brother, Matt McGeehan, 16; Dakota McGeehan, 16; and Paul Ermlich, 16, will be venturing to the West Coast seeking endorsements and promoting their music.They plan to distribute their CDs and hang out with big name promoters, record producers and performers in the music industry.Don't let the young ages of

This band was built on a solid foundation of many years of music lessons sparked by talent and combined with a steady mix of practice and perseverance.Tyler Ritter, 14, plays guitar with a vengeance and is a back up vocalist. Ritter began listening to AC/DC and Motley Crue at an early age and his enjoyment in music began when he started piano lessons when he was 8 years old.Nick McGeehan took to drum lessons at age 9. He likes all kinds of music.Nick's older brother, Matt, plays guitar and is a solid back up vocalist. Matt started guitar lessons at 8 years old. He was influenced by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and all things classic rock.Dakota McGeehan, is the lead singer. He began singing at age 7. He likes to listen to Poison and 80s music. He also composes most of the band's original songs.Paul Ermlich is the bass guitarist.A.D.D.'s recent winning of a "Battle of the Band" contest in Mahanoy City led them to a recording package with Thourmin Production in St. Clair.They all attend different local schools. Ritter attends Ss. Peter and Paul School, Lehighton; Nick McGeehan, goes to Lehighton Area Middle School, while his brother, Matt attends Lehighton Area High School; Dakota McGeehan is a student at Tamaqua Area High School; and Ermlich attends Southern Lehigh High School.Several of the boys got a taste for playing in a band when they played with Royal Jam Music Conservatory, but when several members of the Royal Jam band decided to take a break, it led to the formation of
