The Palmerton Area Library is your one-stop shop for something to do.
Preschool Story Hour is every Friday at 10:30 a.m. It is free and open to the public.
Tail Waggin' Tutuors Kids read to dogs the second Saturday of each month from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. It is free but parents must preregister for a time slot by calling the library at 610-826-3424.
Watercolor painting classes are offered two days a week. Call the teacher at 610-824-4962 for more information.
Homework Helpers are available every Wednesday from 3-4:30 p.m. Volunteer tutors will help your child with his/her homework and other assignments. It is free but parents must register each child.
Teen Advisory Group for teens in grades 7-12 welcome new members. Call the library and ask for Mariann for details.
Student Art Show will be held June 10 from 1-3 p.m. All art work must be matted and ready to hang. Prizes will be given in two categories: ages 6-12 and 13-18.
The Annual Fund Drive is going on now. Show your support for the Palmerton Area Library by making a donation today.

Knitting Club meets the first and third Monday of each month from 6-8 p.m. It is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels.
Third Monday Book Club meets the third Monday of each month at 12-1 p.m. and discusses a different book each month. On May 21 the book will be "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara. New members are welcome.
Yoga classes are offered every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Call the teacher at 570-436-1762 for more information or stop in on Saturday mornings.
Library Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are open to the public.
Friends of the Palmerton Area Library meet four times a year. The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 10 at 7 p.m.
Spring computer classes for beginners, intermediates and digital camera classes will beginning soon at 5 p.m. on Thursdays. There are some openings in the intermediate and digital camera classes. Class size is limited so call now to register. A second beginner class will be offered this summer.
Rachel DeMicco of Jim Thorpe Arts in Motion will present a special story hour on Friday June 1 at 10:30 a.m. with singing, dancing and fun for the whole family.
The Palmerton Area Library basement booksale is open regular library hours. New books arrive on a weekly basis as well as movies, puzzles and CD's. They are priced to sell. Volunteers are always needed to sort and place books on shelves.
The summer reading program, Dream Big, READ! will begin June14.
The Preschool Circle Time (ages 3-5) with stories, music and more will be held June 14-July 26, Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Summer Reading Club is for grades K-6, Fridays, June 15-July 27 at 10:30 a.m. with stories, games, crafts and more.
Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will be there on Friday June 15 with lots of nightime animals.
There will be no Summer Reading the first week in July.
Adults, teens and kids, be sure to sign up for the "Star Chain" contest and compete in your age group for fun prizes. It is free and open to all.
