Published May 09. 2012 05:02PM

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted age compliance checks of licensed establishments in various locations in Carbon County. The checks were done on Friday, May 5, between 5 and 9 p.m.

Age compliance checks consist of using supervised underage buyers in an attempt to purchase alcholic beverages.

On the detail a total of four licensed establishments were checked. Three were found to be noncomplaint, meaning they served the underage buyer alcoholic beverages.

One business, Covered Bridge Inn, 4300 Little Gap Rd., in Palmerton, was in complaince and did not serve alcohol to the underage buyer.
