Gas prices are higher because President Obama wants gas prices higher!In a pre-nomination interview in 2008, now-Energy Secretary Steven Chu told the Wall Street Journal, "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levals in Europe."Also, there are an estimated 27 billion barrels in Alaska the EPA is blocking drilling. The drilling on federal land is down 44 percent and deep water permits for oil drilling are down 57 percent.If the missiles fly in the Middle East, wait 'til you see gas prices then.I'm sure hope and change won't let a good crisis go to waste.Joe BalitzaPalmerton
