Sunny Delight Beverages Co. and its President and CEO, Billy Cyr, recently received the 2012 Good Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America, Dan Beard Council.

Presented annually, this award recognizes the charitable efforts of a local business or individual for providing resources that change lives across the community."The Sunny Delight Beverages Co.'s involvement in the Cincinnati community focuses on two areasyouth and the outdoors," said Rob Braun, emcee of the Good Scout Award Luncheon. "That makes the Boy Scouts an ideal partner for Sunny Delight and the company supports this and other organizations financially and with its time.""We are in the business of brightening the lives of kids", said Cyr. "That is why we are committed to organizations with a passion for growing and developing America's youth. We are proud to be associated with the Boy Scouts and aspire to do as muchand as wellas the Boy Scouts do."Billy Cyr is, himself, an Eagle Scout, earning the Eagle Scout Award in 1979 as part of Troop 43 in Palmerton.Cyr serves on the Board of the Dan Beard Council, and, along with his sons and Troop 502, has helped lead backpacking trips to Philmont, the Boy Scout's High Adventure Base in New Mexico and Alaska.Cyr's involvement with the Boy Scouts is in keeping with the Sunny Delight Beverages Co.'s commitment to volunteerism and to helping make better places of the communities in which its employees live and work.A recent Good Scout Award Luncheon raised $650,000 for more than 35,000 youths participating in Scouting programs throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.Sunny Delight Beverages Co. is one of the fastest growing, leading producers of juice-based drinks in North America.
