Professor George McHale, Hometown, who turned 60 today, received a retirement trophy and appreciation letter from Penn State officials for serving over 28 years as a mathematics professor at the Penn State-Hazleton Campus. In total, George served 39 years as a teacher, to include his time teaching at the Tamaqua Area High School and Lehigh Carbon Community College.
