A Schuylkill County teen is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) and other counts following a crash that occurred about 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, along Grove St., in Kline Township.

State police at Frackville said a 17-year-old juvenile from McAdoo was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound when the car left the roadway and traveled into the front yard at 101 Grove St. The car continued northeast about 85 feet through the grass before striking a parked 2004 Oldsmobile Alero in the driveway of the residence.After impact with the Alero the Cobalt continued about 12 feet before striking an ornamental tree and landscaping. The Cobalt continued on another 12 feet before traveling down a slight embankment where it came to rest.The teen, who sustained a minor injury, was found to be under the influence. He is facing several motor vehicle code violations. The DUI charge is pending test results, troopers said. A passenger in the vehicle, Corey Ryba, 18, of McAdoo, was not injured.Damages were moderate to the Cobalt and Alero, troopers added.
