Lehighton Rotary Club is presenting an Elvis tribute show on Saturday, May 14 at Lehighton American Legion. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with a turkey dinner beginning at 6 p.m.

Dancing to some oldies, country, and class rock will begin at 7 p.m., followed by "Elvis in Concert."All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the community programs of Lehighton Rotary Club.Award-winning Elvis tribute artist Jeff Krick will be the featured entertainer.While living in Pennsylvania, Krick travels and performs throughout the United States and Canada - as well as onboard cruise ships in the Caribbean and Bermuda. He has even performed for the State Department in Washington, D.C.A professional entertainer since 1990, Krick has won numerous awards and contests for his "unbelievable voice and authenticity of bringing Elvis to the stage."On several occasions, he has performed with - and is endorsed by - Elvis' back-up vocal group, the Stamps Quartet. They toured with Elvis from 1971 to 1977.According to Lehighton Rotary Club President-Elect and Elvis tribute show coordinator Erica Heery, "This isn't just a fundraiser for Rotary Club of Lehighton. It's a way that we can help save and improve lives both locally through our dictionary and literacy projects and worldwide through our "End Polio Now" campaign."She adds, "We're 'this close' to eradicating polio from the world."Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide.Locally, Lehighton Rotary Club organized in 1921.
