The Carbon County Commissioners have delegated to Carbon County Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) certain responsibilities concerning the solicitation, evaluation, and recommendation of tourism-related projects to be funded in part by proceeds from the Hotel Room Tax imposed throughout the County.

To facilitate the effective and equitable distribution of these public funds, the Chamber of Commerce has created a Room Tax Allocation Committee (RTAC) comprised of the board chair of the chamber and one representative from each of the chamber's six regional councils. Nonprofit organizations in Carbon County may apply for these grants for tourist related projects and may acquire a copy of the guidelines from the chamber by visiting the chamber office at 110 N.
