Lansford police have issued a felony arrest warrant for Kevin John Faenza, 43, of 251 W. Earley Ave., Coaldale, as a result of an incident which took place on Dec. 19, 2010, at Boyer's Market. Charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property were filed by Officer Joshua Tom. Here's what happened, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Casimir Kosciolek:

At 5:43 p.m. that day, Tom was on duty when he received a call from the market that employees were holding a man who had left the store while attempting to steal two bottle of Robitussin and a box of Vicks sinus and cold medicine.Tom arrived at the store and arrested the man, identified as Faenza, for retail theft. He took Faenza back to the station, read him his Miranda rights and interviewed him. Faenza admitted stealing the medicines and gave Tom a written statement.
