The fourth and final defendant in a Lansford home invasion incident was sentenced in Carbon County court on Monday. Like the other three, he received a prison term. He was one of several defendants who previously pleaded guilty to be sentenced by Senior Judge Richard W. Webb.

Prison termJarred M. Dillman, 20, of Palmerton, was sentencd to serve one day less 12 to one day less 24 months in the county prison on charges of robbery, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of an automobile, criminal conspiracy and theft.Dillman was actually sentenced in three pending cases which also includes one year probation after he completes the jail term.The home invasion incident occurred on Dec. 18, 2009, at the residence of Derek Hunsicker, 22, of E. Snyder Ave. Dillman, his brother, Ryan K. Dillman, 22, of Palmerton, Joshua Barlip, 19, of Lansford, and Justin Scott Nahf, 21, of Dublin, Bucks County, forced their way into the home about 9:30 p.m. and assaulted Hunsicker and his brother, Rick, 23.Barlip, police stated, had a gun and "pistol-whipped" Derek Hunsicker. Nahf admitted having a baseball bat. The two Dillman's did not have any weapons, police said.Police said the four entered the home to get money and drugs.Dillman told Webb, "I've changed a lot since I've been in (jail)."On the robbery charge Webb imposed the one to 24 month term, less a day on each. On the other counts probation terms of six months each were imposed to run consecutively with each other and to the jail term.Dillman was also ordered to make total restitution of $1,359; supply a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee, get both a drug and alcohol (D&A) and menthal health evaluations and follow any recommendations for treatment, zero tolerance imposed on D&A use, and no contact with co-defendants or victims in any of the cases. He was given credit for 395 days spent in jail to date on the charges.Other casesOther defendants sentenced by Webb included:Matthew Gerald Desrochers, 38, of Lehigh Valley, was sentenced to serve 11 to 23 months in the county prison on a charge of receiving stolen property, a felony three.He was arrested on Dec. 17, 2009, by state police for an incident in Slatington with Stephen Frano the listed victim. The case was combined with other theft incidents occurring in Carbon, Lehigh and Northampton counties.Desrochers also has a detained filed on him by authorities in New Hampshire.Webb also ordered Desrochers to make total restitution of $393.60; get a D&A evaluation, supply a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee, zero tolerance on D&A use, and have no contact with the victim. He was given credit for 260 days spent in jail to date on the charges.The term runs concurrent with a prison sentence he is now serving in Northampton County.Kenneth Charles Brothers, 54, of Saylorsburg, was sentenced to serve 30 days to six months in prison on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge. He was arrested on April 7 along S. Second St., in Lehighton. Given a test, the result was .21BAC.He was also ordered to get a D&A evaluation. He will serve the jail term on consecutive weekends begining Friday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m.Arthur George Burnhauser Jr., 54, of West Hazleton, was sentenced to serve 90 days to five years in jail on a DUI charge. He was arrested on July 2 at Rhume St. and Mermon Ave., in Nesquehoning. He refused a blood test and will lose his license for a year.He was also ordered to pay a fine of $1,500 and his license was suspended for an additional 18 months.On a charge of driving under suspension-DUI related, he was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail and pay a fine of $1,000. Another one year license suspension will also be imposed. The jail terms run concurrently.He will begin the jail term at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, and serve it consecutively.Pierre Mercuis Germain, 55, of Kunkletown, was placed on probation for 18 months on a charge of receiving stolen property, a felony three. He was arrested by state police for accepting building supplies from the Shelly Lumber Company and failing to pay for them. Germain was in the construction business at the time of the incident.He was ordered to make restitution of $3,406.07 to the lumber company and supply a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee. It was noted that Germain has already repaid most of the restitution.Fuller Ashton Jr., 35, of Walnutport, was placed on probation for two years on a charge of criminal trespass, as a felony three. He was arrested by Lehighton police for an incident on Dec. 1, 2009, at 237 South St. in which he entered the home of Joseph Schatz and removed firearms. Schatz is police chief of Jim Thorpe and resided in Lehighton at the time of the incident.Ashton was ordered to make total restitution of $742, get a D&A evaluation, supply a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee, and zero tolerance imposed on D&A use. He was given credit for a total of 242 days spent in jail on the charges.Each defendant must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
