Concourse Club honors Guiding Stars

Concourse Club of Palmerton will be honoring five Guiding Stars from the Palmerton Area High School. The Guiding Stars were chosen by a committee of high school teachers in the Palmerton Area School District. A Guiding Star must be a female student in the top 25 percent of the senior class, involved in both school and community activities. Each Guiding Star will receive a certificate, an engraved Guiding Star charm and a $100 cash award.

The March Guiding Star is Brianna Hoglen, daughter of Justine and Winfried Hoglen. Brianna has a brother, Conner. Her school activities include being vice president of student council, vice president of the Leo Club. Brianna is secretary of National Honor Society and is involved with the environmental club, yearbook, computer fair and is varsity baseball manager. She enjoys just being with friends, family and going to the gym. Her interests include fashion and she is a very talented artist. Her future plans include attending either Penn State or Millersville University to major in meteorology.
