A total of 13 people entered guilty pleas in Carbon County court on Thursday before Senior Judge Richard W. Webb, with nine of the pleas to counts of driving under the influence (DUI).

DUI pleasThe following defendants pleaded guilty to DUI charges.James Eric Fisher, 48, of Bethlehem, also pleaded to false identification to law enforcement and driving while under suspension-DUI related.He was arrested on June `4 along Mauch Chunk Road in Palmerton. At the vehicle stop Fisher gave police three different birth dates, all incorrect. Given a test the result was .11BAC.On the charge of driving under suspension Webb sentenced him to serve 90 days in jail, $1,000 fine and he will lose his license for a year. On the DUI charge he was sentenced to serve 10 days to one day less 24 months in jail, $500 fine and another year suspension. On the false ID count he was sentenced to serve 30 days to a year in jail, all the terms running concurrently.He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol (D&A) evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment. He given credit for 48 days spent in jail to date on the charges.Bobbi-jo Hunsicker, 33, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI in two separate incidents.She was arrested on Dec. 29, 2009, along Summit Avenue in Lehighton after police found her operating a pickup truck that was stuck in snow. Given a test, the result was .24BAC.The second arrest occurred on July 3 along Canal St., in Franklin Township. State police stopped her after observing her driving erratically. Given a test, the result was .27BAC.On the first count Webb placed her on probation for six months and a fine of $300. On the second count she was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000 and one year license suspension. The terms run consecutively.She was also ordered to get a D&A evaluation and render three hours of community service while on probation and parole. She begins the jail term at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10.Scott Henry Johansen, 49, of Hedgesville, W. Va., formerly of Palmerton, pleaded to two counts in separate incidents.He was arrested on the first count on July 17 along Delaware Avenue in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .20BAC. The second arrest occurred on Aug. 4 along Third St. in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .23BAC.On the first count Webb placed him on probation for six months and ordered a fine of $300 and a D&A evaluation. On the second count the same sentence was imposed running consecutively.Kira Ann Cesanek, 29, of Hazleton, was arrested on May 13 at Sixth and Franklin in Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .19BAC.She was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and get a D&A evaluation.James M. Gordon Jr., 50, of Midway, Tenn., was arrested on Oct. 8 by state police along Canal St. in Franklin Township. Given a test, the result was .25BAC.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and get a D&A evaluation. On a count of persistent disorderly conduct he was fined $100 and costs.Sherree Salone Rex, 55, of Summit Hill, was arrested on Dec. 19, 2009, along Blakeslee Blvd., in Mahoning Township. Given a test, the result was .26BAC.Webb sentenced her to serve 48 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $500, one year license suspension, get a D&A evaluation and render three hours of community service per month while on parole. She begins the jail term on Dec. 7 at 9 a.m.Michael J. Serfass, 34, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on June 14 along Bankway in Lehighton. Given a test, the result showed presence of a controlled substance in his system.Webb sentenced him to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000, one year license suspension and get a D&A evaluation. He began the jail term immediately.Joshua Michael Kisselbach, 24, of Easton, was arrested on Aug. 1 along SR248 in Lower Towamensing Township by state police. Given a test, the result was .25BAC.Webb sentenced him to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $300, one year license suspension and get a D&A evaluation. The jail term begins on Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.Anthony Julio Riggio, 27, of Lansford, was arrested on May 16 along Bank St., in Bowmanstown, after being involved in a crash.Webb sentenced him to serve 48 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $500, one year license suspension, and get a D&A evaluation. On two motor vehicle code violations he was fined a total of $50 and costs. He begins the jail term on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m.Other pleasOther defendants who entered guilty pleas included:Tanya Marie Hosier, 31, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of defiant trespass. She was arrested on Oct. 4 at 431 N. Third St., Lehighton. She was evicted from the premises but refused to leave and was cited.Webb sentenced her to time served (10 days) to six months and immediately paroled her.Keith Samuel Lawrence, 24, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of criminal mischief. He was arrested on July 9 by Palmerton police for an incident in which Todd Andrew, and others, were the victims with the incident occurring at 570 Mauch Chunk Road.Lawrence caused damages to a vehicle and other property.Webb placed him on probation for a year and ordered restitution of $1,379.40.Lawrence is currently in the county prison on a probation violation.Susan V. Karley, 45, of Nesquehoning, pleaded to one count of possession of contraband at the county prison. She was arrested on March 20, 2009, when she brought a controlled substance in the jail. Correction officers found the drug hidden in her dentures.Webb deferred sentencing to a later date.Jason Joshua Labish, 30, of Kunkletown, Lower Towamensing Township, pleaded to one count each of possession of a CS and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on March 9 at his residence where police found he was growing 27 marijuana plants inside his home.Webb placed him on probation for a year on each count, running concurrently, and ordered he get a D&A evaluation.All the defendants must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
